I've decided not to draw anything bloody or gory (not that I'm against blood and gore, mind you). Instead a dolphin lets us know what it thinks about being taken away from his family during a dolphin drive and living in captivity in general. The hat on its head is meant to be silly. After all, humans enjoy making a mockery of various animal species, don't they?
Demeaning such creatures dehumanizes ourselves. The only thing we might learn from keeping cetaceans captive is an education on how selfish and cruel humans can be. There is nothing cute about dolphins living in concrete tanks, begging for food and fighting amongst themselves. The animals that aren't picked from the drives are either set free (and family structures ruined) or butchered.
However, not all of Japan is supporting these hunts. Most of them aren't even aware.
Recently, Broome (small town on the north west coast of Western Australia) had revoked it's sister city relationship with Taiji in protest against the hunts but received backlash for it. The status has since been restored and apologies made. Even then I personally don't believe that will, or would have, stopped the drives.
In addition, I did write up a short piece from a dolphin's POV during a drive hunt. I haven't posted it because I'm hesitant. It's pretty nasty.
Mouse-drawn because my computer's power supply went kaputski and my harddrive is currently in my partner's machine. I can hook up the tablet but it works no better than a mouse as I cannot access the drivers at the moment.

Yeah that's right. Humans think they are intelligent, but they are not. Even a fly is 1000000 times more intelligent than a fucking human.
